INDUSTRY-ACADEMIA LINKAGES: MOU SIGNNING WITH SERVIS INDUSTRIES LIMITED (6th February, 2019)

Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC)-Kinnaird College for Women, in pursuance to develop linkages with the potential industrial sectors of Pakistan to bridge the gaps between academic research and industrial needs signed Memorandum of Understanding with Servis Industries Limited.

The MoU signing ceremony was held on 6th February 2019, attended by Mr. Noman Faisal-Head Administration and Human Resources (SIL), Ms. Qudsia Manzoor-Brand Manager and Team Principal Prof. Dr Rukhsana David (Kinnaird College For Women) Vice Principal Prof. Dr Nikhat Khan, Director ORIC Dr Ghazala Yaqub, Dean of Pure Sciences Dr Shahnaz Choudhry, Dean of Social Sciences Dr Urasa Fahim, HOD of Environmental Sciences Ms. Almas Hamid, HOD of Fine Arts Ms. Saima Jabbar, HOD of Accounting and Finance Ms. Fizza Abbas, HOD of Economics Ms. Zubaira Hassan, Manager Industrial Linkages ORIC Ms. Saba Taj Anwar and Manager Research Operations and Development ORIC Ms. Meashall Usman and member attended the ceremony.

The signing of this MOU will open the new avenues of joint research activities which are more relevant to industrial need and will help to transfer lab research towards commercialization of the technologies.

KINNAIRD COLLEGE FOR WOMEN AND APTMA SIGNING CEREMONY (7th March, 2019)

Dr. Rukhsana David (Principal Kinnaird College) and Mr. Adil Bashir (Chairman APTMA) signed the MoU. The MoU signing ceremony was held at 7th March 2019 at APTMA House. The MOU aims at establishing long term, sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of bilateral interest for promoting research, industrial linkages, training and education between APTMA and Kinnaird College. Members from the APTMA appreciated the efforts of ORIC- Kinnaird to bridge the gap between academia and industry to transfer the lab research onto commercial level.
