Ms Almas Hamid joined Kinnaird College in 1996. Since 2009, she is serving as Head of Department of Environmental Sciences. During this period, she has supervised many BS and MPhil students. Her areas of research include air pollution; solid Waste Management; Environmental and analytical chemistry; water and waste water analysis & treatment and Occupational health and safety. Ms Almas has around 40 publications to her credit, including 19 papers in impact factor journals (H-index8; I-10-index 5). She completed one Research Project (2011-2012) as Co-PI, entitled “Dual Action Hybrids for Treatment of Infections due to MDR Bacteria, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan worth 0.5 Million (PKR).
