The Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization in collaboration with the Department of Environment Sciences, Kinnaird College for Women, has organized a one day event titled “Pre COP 26 – Webinar on Climate Change” on 6th October 2021.

“COP26” was a critical summit for global climate action. To have a chance of limiting warming to 1.5 degrees, global emissions must halve by 2030 and reach ‘net-zero’ by 2050. COP26 proved to be one of the pivotal events of 2021″, with a focus on countries increasing the ambition of their commitments to tackle the climate emergency. The “Pre COP 26 – Webinar on Climate Change” scope of the webinar covered the pressing issues related to environment and climate change, policy level decisions and the way forward towards a greener planet.

This webinar aimed to bring together practitioners, scientists and policymakers to explore key issues related to adaptation to climate change in developing countries. This event kindled the much needed debate on the issues related to the environment and called for urgent attention and raise the awareness among the relevant stakeholders.
